How Do I Hold This? is a graphic-poem reflecting on themes of collective grief, trauma and strength.

This piece emerged as my response to the complexities of the Israel-Hamas war. I started drawing hands in holding gestures as I felt like I couldn’t hold anything and was inspired by the poignant ‘Paradox Poem’ by poet and creative community facilitator, Francesca Fillippa.

As a Jewish person with Israeli family as well as Palestinian and Muslim friends, this is my way of navigating the intricate connections and shared experience of this time.
